Native American Smudge

Native American Peoples have been using smudging ceremonies for centuries.

The Smudging ritual is used to clear people and places of negative energy.

Smudge sticks are traditionally made from Sage, Resin and Herbs.

The Herbs are heated over hot charcoal in a fire proof dish to produce a cleansing smoke which is wafted over and around the person, place or an object.

Usually using with a feather or fan, a prayer or affirmation is used to clear negative energy.

On my travels I found that other cultures also use smudging as a cleansing ritual.

I find it’s really helpful if I feel down or things are going the wrong way.

I believe it sometimes down to mind set and I find for me it changes a negative mindset.

Whatever you choose please look after yourself x
